Olha Kobylianska (1863-1942) was a prominent Ukrainian writer, civic activist, and feminist who is considered one of the classics of Ukrainian literature. Kobylianska actively supported the ideas of women's emancipation and reflected this in her works, in particular in her novels The Princess and The Land, which address issues of social inequality, women's right to education and self-realization.
