The postage stamp is dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the birth of the great Ukrainian poetess Lesia Ukrainka.

The artist of the issue is Polina Doroshenko. This work was created as part of the art project “Figures of Ukraine”, in which young artists convey the characters of famous personalities in a modern graphic language. The artist combines various techniques in her work, most often using acrylic, pen, decoupage and Italian pencil.
