The 57th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Kosh Ataman Kostyantyn Hordiienko is one of the best combat units in the operational command “South” of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which today defends Ukraine from Russian invaders, demonstrating high professionalism and devotion to their homeland. The brigade was created on June 17, 2014.

From October 2024 to May 2025, the brigade has been performing combat missions in the Kupiansk direction and holding defense in the areas of Kupiansk, Sinkivka, the western and southern outskirts of the village of Lyman Pershyi, Kupiansk district, Kharkiv region, creating opportunities for successful offensive actions, which in turn leads to the restoration of positions and the destruction of a large number of enemy manpower, weapons and military equipment.
