For 10 years, UAnimals has been working tirelessly to protect animals in Ukraine. Animal protection is, above all, the result of the daily collective efforts of thousands of people. To draw attention to the importance of protecting and rescuing animals in Ukraine, Ukrposhta and UAnimals have launched a special stamp series titled “Protecting the weak is the business of the strong. UAnimals — 10 years”.

This issue is a visual story of UAnimals’ decade-long fight for animal rights in Ukraine, as well as their rescue efforts during Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The illustrations bring together various areas of activity in a single space, resembling a large rally where every voice matters. The images on the stamps within this space are perceived as vivid and emotional posters: the animal rights rally itself, evacuation missions from frontline territories, medical care, and aid for stray animals. The postage stamps convey a sense of movement, where the actions of many people add up to significant change, and they also call for a humane attitude toward all animal species.

The issue was released according to the project “Personalized Stamp”.
