He has received the following state awards: Full Cavalier of the Order of Merit; National Legend of Ukraine and the Order of Freedom. At the beginning of russia's large-scale invasion of Ukraine, the athlete set up a charity foundation to help the Ukrainian army and people, affected by russian aggression, and to support educational projects.
