The "History of Fire Transport of Ukraine" stamp series was launched in 2016 to mark the 100th anniversary of the first fire truck in Ukraine, the Benz-Gaggenau pumper truck.

Later, the series was supplemented by issues dedicated to no less interesting firefighting equipment, including the boat PK-10\130 (UMS 1000), KrAZ-63221 truck, GPM-54 tank, and AN-32P aircraft.

The first fire pumper truck was built in Kyiv on a Benz-Gaggenau bus chassis in the workshop of the city fire brigade in 1916. It carried 10 firefighters and various fire equipment. The car was equipped with a 20-liter pump and a small tank with a water supply for the first hose. The vehicle's speed was 30 km/h.
