Description:

Discover a new issue from the ART vs WAR series — this time featuring works by French artist James Colomina.

In August 2024, in Kyiv — the capital of Ukraine — he created five sculptures in the very heart of the city to mark Independence Day. Each of them speaks about war through the language of art, reminding us once again that culture is also a form of resistance.

Three of his Kyiv works are now featured on Ukrposhta’s maximum cards: The Messenger, placed on the façade of the Main Post Office; The Dove, installed on a lamppost near the memorial to the fallen Heroes of Ukraine; and The Girl on a Swing, located along the Alley of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes.

The postal series ART vs WAR captures global solidarity with Ukraine and shares it with the world. It began in 2023 with a stamp featuring Banksy’s graffiti in Borodyanka and continues to grow with new works reflecting on the war and the support of the international artistic community — through music, exhibitions, and street art.

A maximum card combines a postcard, a stamp, and a postmark into a single visual story — a format where every detail matters.
