Ihor Shamo is a classic of Ukrainian music, a symphony composer, songwriter, pianist, theater and film composer whose name is forever inscribed in the musical culture of Ukraine.

The song “How Can I Not Love You, My Kyiv!”, composed more than 60 years ago by composer Igor Shamo and poet Dmytro Lutsenko, has become a musical emblem and symbol of the Ukrainian capital and has been the official anthem of Kyiv for decades.

"The Song of the Gray Swan by Igor Shamo with lyrics by Mykola Tomenko and performed by Vitaliy Bilonozhko has become a requiem for those who died at the front and in the rear in recent years.

The unmarked artistic envelope bears the stamp with the imprint of a special cancellation “Igor Shamo. 1925-1982”.
