On October 1, our country honors Ukrainian defenders by remembering all those who have at all times protected and are currently fighting for the freedom, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, regardless of their occupation or gender. The Defenders Day in Ukraine is inseparably linked to the development of the Ukrainian army and military traditions. Modern warriors multiply the traditions, honor military brotherhood and mutual help, bow their heads to the fallen and praise the heroism of the living ones. The history of this holiday has a long tradition. On this day, the Cossacks solemnly celebrated the Intercession of the Holy Virgin, and thus the holiday received its second name – Cossack Intercession. On this day, let's remember the actions of all generations of fighters for the freedom of Ukraine. Let us pay tribute to all the fallen. Let us show our respect to all living defenders!
