Sheet «Heroic professions. Mission: The Truth»

Journalists who cover the Russian-Ukrainian war allow the whole world to see the true face of the aggressor state and make the truth about Russian aggression heard. Journalists in times of war are the voices of truth. It is thanks to their texts, photos and videos that the world learns about the massacres in Bucha, Izyum, Mariupol, Yahidne and other settlements, about missile attacks on residential buildings and the consequences of daily terror of the civilian population. Russian aggression against Ukraine is accompanied by large-scale disinformation and attempts to distort reality. In these conditions, journalists play a critical role — they document war crimes, tell the stories of victims and inform the world about the facts that Russian propaganda tries to hide or distort.

The Mission: Truth postage stamp of the Heroic Professions series is a symbol of gratitude to those who make the truth heard, who risk their lives to defend us from the enemy with the power of truth. This stamp issue is a tribute to the memory of media professionals killed by Russia.
