Stamps Sheet  "Dukach" – "Tumar" of the joint issue Ukraine-Kyrgyz Republic on the theme "Traditional jewelry" in the form of the se-tenant are issued

The joint issue of Ukraine-Kyrgyzstan is represented by traditional jewelry of both countries.

Dukach is an ancient Ukrainian ornament in the form of a large medal-shaped coin with a metal bow decorated with stones. The name comes from the word "ducat" - a coin. Dukach served as a certain compositional center of all women's breast ornaments and was attached to the most prominent part of the necklace. The exhibit presented on the stamp is stored in the National Center of Folk Culture "Ivan Honchar Museum" (Kyiv).

Tumar is a traditional Kyrgyz breastplate in the form of a triangular amulet with many pendants at the bottom, which, in addition to aesthetic appeal, had an important sacred significance and was a mascot, a talisman. Translated from the Arabic language, "tumar" means prayer. Traditionally, jewelry was worn on top of beads.

A fragment of a 1910 photo from the funds of the Mykola Babak Charitable Foundation was used on the Dukach postage stamp
