Block «Black Sea Biosphere Reserve»

The Black Sea Biosphere Reserve is a unique protected area located in the southern part of Ukraine, on the Black Sea coast. The reserve was established in 1927 and is one of the oldest and most valuable in the country. Its main goal is to preserve unique ecosystems, rich biodiversity, research and protection of the natural environment, especially massive nesting sites and bird migration routes.

The Black Sea Biosphere Reserve block consists of 5 stamps: “Haematopus ostralegus L", "Larus genei Breme", "Iris pumila L", "Numenius arquata (L)", "Charadrius alexandrinus L".
