The ARTAN Special Forces is an active action unit of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.

"Artan became widely known for its daring operations, some of which are unparalleled in world history.

During the full-scale invasion, the unit's warriors took part in the battles for Kyiv and Donetsk regions, defended Bakhmut, Kupiansk, Chasiv Yar, Zaporizhzhia, liberated Kharkiv region, returned Boyko's towers, contributed to the unblocking of the grain corridor and changing the balance of power in the Black Sea, as well as performed complex and successful operations behind enemy lines.

The DIU Special Forces were formed during Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine exclusively from volunteers.

Among them are career soldiers, intelligence officers, special forces, ATO participants, and those who had no military experience before the full-scale invasion. All of them were united in one of the most effective units by their commander, Viktor Torkotiuk, call sign “Titan”. The Artan unit includes a large number of professional athletes. Among them are world-famous, world and European champions.
