Philbulletin: 11th Separate Army Aviation Brigade “Kherson”

We are pleased to announce a new issue of Ukrposhta’s Personalized Stamp, dedicated to the 11th Separate Army Aviation Brigade “Kherson”.

The Ukrainian history of this unit began in 1992, when the 320th Separate Helicopter Regiment took the oath of allegiance to Ukraine.

In the autumn of 1993, the regiment took part in the first military operation of independent Ukraine — the evacuation of civilians from the Kodori Gorge in the Caucasus. Over 5 days, from October 10 to 14, Ukrainian crews operating 17 helicopters carried out 291 sorties under fire having evacuated 7634 persons, and also delivered 487 tonnes of humanitarian aid.

In 2013, the regiment was reorganized into a brigade, and in 2019 it was granted the honorary name “Kherson”. Until 2022, the 11th Brigade was based in Chornobaivka.

With the onset of Russian aggression in 2014, the brigade’s units operated along the administrative border with Crimea and in the Donbas. During the full-scale invasion, despite the enemy’s numerical and technological advantage, the brigade’s personnel defended Kyiv region, operated in Irpin, carried out missions to Azovstal, took part in the operation to liberate Snake Island, and supported the counteroffensive in the south.

A special cancellation “11th Separate Army Aviation Brigade ‘Kherson’” will take place on April 8, 2026, at the Kyiv General Post Office (22 Khreshchatyk Street), from 14:00 to 20:00.

Holders of philatelic subscriptions “Exclusive+” will receive a link to pay for the limited edition postal set “11th Separate Army Aviation Brigade ‘Kherson’” under the “Personalized Stamp” project. It includes:

a numbered stamp sheet (9 stamps);

a numbered illustrated envelope (C6 format) with a special cancellation.

The number of sets is 950. The price of the set is UAH 800.00.

If not all sets are purchased within the specified period, the remaining quantity will be released for general sale in the Ukraposhta Market.
