New Designs Available from April 17

On April 17, 2026, two commemorative sheets will be issued as part of the “Personalized Stamp” project, featuring works by Heorhii Haras and variations on the painting “Cossack Mamay”.

Sheet Featuring Works by Heorhii Haras (16 stamps)

Heorhii Haras was a Ukrainian ornamental artist from Bukovyna who created thousands of unique embroidery patterns.

His work combines traditional motifs with an individual artistic vision and has become an important part of Ukrainian decorative art. The stamps reproduce characteristic ornaments that you may have seen in various contexts — from embroidered clothing to interior design.

“Cossack Mamay” Sheet (8 stamps)

Cossack Mamay is one of the most iconic figures in Ukrainian culture, symbolizing freedom, inner balance, and independence. In traditional depictions, he is shown seated with a bandura, accompanied by a horse and weapons — a symbol of strength combined with calmness and self-sufficiency.

The stamps present different variations of this image, drawn from a single collection — the private collection of the Kotyk family. Yurii Kotyk is a collector of Ukrainian art who has assembled an extensive body of works посвящених the Cossack Mamay image. His collection brings together folk paintings and contemporary interpretations, showing how this traditional motif evolves over time.
