Description:

The 78th Air Assault Brigade is an elite unit of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Airborne Assault Troops, formed in 2022 from volunteers.

Known for its highly effective assault operations, the unit participated in the defense of Kyiv, Enerhodar, Zmiinyi Island, and other settlements that were invaded by Russian forces.

From June 2023 to January 2024 (at that time as a regiment), the unit carried out combat missions during an offensive operation in the Zaporizhzhia sector; from February to October 2024, in the Donetsk sector; and from July onward, in the Northern Slobozhanshchyna sector. From December 2024 to September 2025, the regiment’s fighters engaged the enemy in the areas of Kruglyakivka and Bohuslavka in the Kharkiv region.

In December 2025, the regiment was integrated into the 78th Air Assault Brigade as part of the 7th Rapid Reaction Corps.

The envelope features artwork based on a quote from a poem by Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko — “And there will be no enemy on the renewed land…” — and bears the “Trident” postmark with a special cancellation dedicated to the brigade.
