This issue is a continuation of the legendary “Insects of Ukraine” sheet of stamps issued in 2018, which has won the largest number of awards in the history of philately in modern Ukraine: Grand Prix of the WIPA International Philatelic Exhibition in Vienna (Austria), Grand Prix of the Asiago Philatelic Art Prize (Italy) and the second prize Nexofil to Best Stamp of the World (Spain).

On the stamp sheet a modern technology of holographic film embossing was used for the first time.

The 2024 postal issue features: yellow meadow ant Lasius flavus, Rosalia longicorn Rosalia alpina, European peacock butterfly Aglais io, common pond skater Gerris lacustris, seven-spot ladybird Coccinella septempunctata, common cockchafer Melolontha melolontha, European rhinoceros beetle Oryctes nasicornis.
