Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine, Patron the dog has become one of the most famous dogs in Ukraine and around the world. The four-year-old dog is the mascot of Chernihiv bomb squad, which serves in the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and, together with his colleagues, searches for and neutralizes explosive devices. Since February 24, he has found over a hundred shells and mines. All of them were neutralized. As a result, many lives were saved.

Patron, a Jack Russell Terrier dog, has already been awarded the medal “For Devoted Service” by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. He has his own personalized vest, social media page and embroidered shirt.
