Envelope with special cancellation «65th Separate Mechanized Brigade “Velykyi Luh”»

In Stock

The 65th Separate Mechanized Brigade "Velykyi Luh" was formed in April 2022 as part of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Since June of the same year, its soldiers have continuously carried out combat missions in the Zaporizhzhia sector. They took part in the liberation of Robotyne during the 2023 counteroffensive and subsequently defended the Robotyne salient.
The honorary title Velykyi Luh refers to the historic floodplain region of the Lower Dnipro, long associated with the Zaporizhian Cossacks. Submerged after the creation of the Kakhovka Reservoir in the 1950s, parts of this landscape re-emerged following the destruction of the Kakhovka Dam in 2023. The brigade has been defending the Zaporizhzhia sector, historically linked to the lands of Velykyi Luh, since 2022.
The brigade's insignia reflects this Cossack heritage. Its shoulder patch depicts a Cossack armed with a musket and spear, a traditional symbol of the Zaporozhian Host. The Latin inscription Pratum Magnum emphasizes the connection between today's defenders and the centuries-old military traditions of southern Ukraine.
We express our respect and gratitude to all service members of the 65th Separate Mechanized Brigade for their courage and steadfast defence of Ukraine.

The envelope features artwork based on a quote from a poem by Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko — “And there will be no enemy on the renewed land…” — and bears the “Trident” postmark with a special cancellation dedicated to the brigade.
