Embroidery is not just a decorative element. It is our history, mythology, religion, and the ancient art of our ancestors. Scientists believe that embroidery encodes the genetic code of a nation. Embroidered shirts, towels, and scarves represent a variety of techniques and colors from different regions of Ukraine. The envelope depicts a men's wedding belt “Uchkur” (late nineteenth - early twentieth century) from the Autonomous Republic of Crimea with Crimean Tatar embroidery (Qırımtatar nağışı).
