The postal edition is devoted to the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 — the 62nd contest, which was held in Kyiv from May 7 to 13, 2017. Ukraine received the right to host it thanks to the victory of the Ukrainian singer Jamala. Let's respect diversity (Diversity) is the key slogan of the 2017 song contest, and the logo of the contest is an image of a Ukrainian necklace combined with various elements. In the context of Eurovision, all this symbolizes the uniqueness of each person, his personality, but all people are united by the love of music.

In 2016, Jamala (Susana Alimivna Jamaladinova) won the 61st Eurovision Song Contest held in the Swedish capital Stockholm with her original song "1944", dedicated to the deportation of the Crimean Tatar people.

In May 2017, Jamala took part in the 62nd Eurovision Song Contest. In the first semi-final, she presented a symphonic version of the song "1944", which became the soundtrack to the film "A Stranger's Prayer" by the Ukrainian director and actor of Crimean Tatar origin Akhtem Seitablayev, and sang "Zamanily", and in the final - the song "I Believe in U", which she dedicated Ukraine.
