The block depicts an engraving by Abraham Hogenberg based on a drawing by the Italian engineer Aurelio Passarotti. This is a historical view of Lviv from the early seventeenth century (Cologne, 1618), made in the technique of copperplate engraving. The original is part of the collection of the Lviv Historical Museum.
