Oleksandr Usyk is a Ukrainian professional boxer and one of the most accomplished athletes in the history of Ukrainian boxing. He became the undisputed world champion in the cruiserweight division in 2018 and in the heavyweight division in 2024 and again in 2025. As an amateur, he won the European Championship (2008), the World Championship (2011), and the gold medal at the 2012 Olympic Games. In July 2025, Usyk defeated British boxer Daniel Dubois in their rematch at Wembley Stadium, reclaiming the undisputed heavyweight championship.

Usyk is a full recipient of the Order of Merit and has been awarded the Order of Liberty as well as the honorary title National Legend of Ukraine. Following Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, he established the Usyk Foundation, which provides assistance to Ukraine's Defence Forces, supports civilians affected by the war, and funds humanitarian and educational initiatives.
