The postage stamp "100 years of the Ukrainian People's Republic" was issued in November 2017 on the occasion of the centenary of the proclamation of the Ukrainian People's Republic.

On November 20 (according to the old style - 7) 1917, the Central Council proclaimed the creation of the Ukrainian People's Republic by the Third Universal. This step became a natural stage in the development of the Ukrainian revolution, which began in March 1917.

The proclamation of the Ukrainian People's Republic initiated a new stage of state-national construction, which was supposed to provide the young state with its own Constituent Assembly, Constitution, state symbols, currency, army, court, special services, international recognition, etc.

Today's independent and sovereign Ukrainian state is the successor to the traditions of the Ukrainian People's Republic.
