The postal issue "I. Repin. Cossacks Write a Letter to the Turkish Sultan" of the Treasures of Ukrainian Museums series was issued in 2014 and is dedicated to the 170th anniversary of the birth of the famous Ukrainian artist.

The stamp depicts one of the paintings Repin created in four copies, the subject of which is the mocking "Letter of the Cossacks to the Turkish Sultan" written as a response of the Cossacks to Sultan Mohammed IV.

Currently, one of the versions of the painting is kept in the collection of the Kharkiv Art Museum.
