Spirit and Strength of Ukraine. Milano Cortina 2026

The Olympic Games are not only a competition of the world’s best athletes, but also a symbol of dignity, inner strength, and faith in the future. They represent the moment when athletes’ personal dreams become part of a nation’s history, and every start becomes a responsibility to one’s country.

Since gaining Independence, Ukrainian Olympians have won 151 medals at the Summer Games and 9 medals at the Winter Games, firmly establishing Ukraine on the global sporting stage. In 2026, the main winter sporting event of the four-year cycle will take place in Italy, with Ukrainian athletes competing in 11 sports disciplines, having prepared for the Games under the extraordinarily difficult conditions of wartime.

Despite all challenges, Ukrainian sport continues to develop and to reveal new talents. Through the achievements of our athletes, the world sees the character of the nation — resilience, dedication, and the ability to move forward against all odds.

The National Olympic Team of Ukraine enters the Olympic arena carrying the flag of a country that knows the true value of freedom, forged in struggle and unity. We support our athletes and firmly believe that every start brings us closer to Victory!
