Mariupol. The City of Heroes, forever in our hearts.

On March 16, 2022, Russian aircraft dropped bombs on the Drama Theater, where hundreds of civilians had taken shelter from the shelling. The sign reading “CHILDREN” did not stop the enemy. But it could not destroy our memory.

To honor the victims of the tragedy and the city’s defenders, on March 14, 2025, Ukrposhta issued the postage stamp “City of Heroes. Mariupol.”

A unique feature of this issue is that the stamps are covered with particles of real steel from the Azovstal Metallurgical Plant.

On March 16, 2026, we are presenting a special collector’s edition with an important charitable purpose.

The sale of exclusive numbered frames is launching on the Ukrposhta Market. Inside each one is a sheet of “City of Heroes. Mariupol” stamps and a fragment of original steel from the last batch produced by the Azovstal Metallurgical Plant—the last batch made before the city’s occupation.

1,500 UAH from the sale of each frame will be donated to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine, particularly the units that defended Mariupol: Azov, the 36th Separate Marine Brigade, and others.

This is not just a collector’s item for philatelists. It is a piece of indomitable Ukrainian steel, a memory of Mariupol, and a show of support for those rebuilding their lives after the war.
