Description:

Guardians of Christmas is a Christmas comedy for the whole family. It is the first feature film by 1+1 media, created in partnership with UnitedContentHUB.

The film combines a warm family story with a topical cultural reinterpretation — in particular, a return to celebrating Christmas on December 25.

The plot centers on three legendary magicians: Saint Nicholas, Santa Claus, and the ancient Spirit of Winter. Meeting secretly on the eve of the holiday, they try to civilly decide which of them should take care of Christmas. But everything changes when a little girl named Vera's accidental wish erases this day from human memory. The holiday disappears, and the main characters lose their magical powers. Now they need to unite to restore faith in miracles — and with it, restore Christmas.

The main roles are played by Ivan Blindar (Saint Nicholas), Mykhailo Kukuyuk (Santa), Stanislav Boklan (the ancient Spirit of Winter), Arina Tregub (Vira), Kateryna Kuznetsova (Vira's mother), and Roman Lutsky (Vira's father). The film also features Iryna Ostrovska and popular blogger Candy Superstar.

The film was directed by Oleksandr Kyrienko, produced by Tetiana Shulika and Anna Honchar, and co-produced by Oleksii Lymanenko and Andrii Nogin. The screenplay was written by Tetiana Shulika and Tamara Grantovska, and the cinematographer was Volodymyr Shklyarevskyi.
