Sheet «December 1 — World AIDS Day» according to the project «Personalized stamp»

Description:

December 1 marks World AIDS Day, a day that reminds us of the duration of the epidemic and the importance of public awareness. Approximately 40.4 million people worldwide have died from HIV/AIDS, and despite medical advances, the epidemic continues.

According to the Public Health Center, more than 133,000 people living with HIV are under medical supervision in Ukraine, but experts estimate that approximately 90,000 Ukrainians are still unaware of their status and are not receiving the necessary treatment.

This day is an opportunity to remind everyone that HIV has not disappeared and that the fight against the epidemic requires joint efforts by the state, the public sector, business, and international partners.

In order to draw the attention of society and the international community to the importance of combating the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Ukraine, especially in the context of full-scale war, Ukrposhta, on the initiative of the Anti-AIDS Foundation-USA in Ukraine (AHF Ukraine), is presenting a postal issue entitled “December 1 — World AIDS Day”.
