The military unit was established on October 30, 2023.

During its two years of existence, the combat units of the military unit have participated in all major areas of Ukraine's defense, which distinguishes it from other newly formed and experienced military formations.

In 2024:

• from June to July, the brigade carried out special combat missions as part of the Siversk operational-tactical group under the operational command of the Sumy tactical group commander;
• from July to September, it carried out defensive actions as part of the Luhansk Operational-Tactical Group to prevent the enemy from advancing in Donbas;
• since August, the brigade's units have been performing tasks to defend the town of Toretsk;
• Since September, the military unit has been performing special combat tasks as part of the Kherson Operational-Tactical Group: it is conducting defensive battles in a designated defense zone on the left bank of the Dnipro River and is steadfastly holding its positions in the direction of the enemy's likely main strike in the Kherson and Mykolaiv regions.

Throughout September, the brigade's units also carried out offensive operations, during which they inflicted fire damage on enemy forces, causing maximum losses in manpower and equipment, as well as regaining lost positions and consolidating them.

Separate units of the military unit also carried out combat missions as part of other brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia regions.
