On September 14, 2021, Ukrposhta put into circulation a stamp issue dedicated to the anniversary of the Astronomical Observatory of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv - 250 years since its foundation in 1771.

The Lviv Observatory is considered one of the oldest observatories in Eastern Europe.

The postage stamp depicts an armillary sphere and pavilions with telescopes. On the envelope: the AZT-14 telescope, located at the observatory's countryside observation station in the village of Bryukhovychi.
