Postage set «EUROPA. National archaeological discoveries»

Description:

The Ukrainian postal issue under the Europa program, whose theme in 2025 is “National Archaeological Discoveries”, presents unique exhibits from the Institute of Archeology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine: an anthropomorphic Scythian stele (5th century BC), which reproduces the image of a Scythian warrior; a Scythian akinak sword (5th-4th centuries BC) and an akinak dagger (6th century BC). BC) and an akinak dagger (VI century BC); a Papai headpiece (IV century BC), a sacred element used during religious ceremonies; bronze cauldrons (IV and III centuries BC), utensils for cooking and for sacred practice during the rituals of the Scythian elite. The statue of a Scythian warrior comes from a Scythian mound near the village of Novovasylivka, Mykolaiv region.
