The phrase "Russian warship, go...!", a response of the defenders of Snake (Zmiinyi) Island to the invaders’ warship, became the quintessence of the determination of the Ukrainian people to defend their land. Ukrposhta wanted to commemorate this moment in a postal way, by issuing a new stamp.

The sketch for the postage stamp "Russian warship, go...!" was chosen by voting on Ukrposhta's Facebook and Instagram pages. The work of the Ukrainian artist Boris Groh received more than 1,700 votes out of 8,000.
