First Day Cover "Children of Victory draw the Ukraine of the future"

Description:

The charity postage issue "Children of Victory draw the Ukraine of the future" is timed to the International Children's Day and is dedicated to children who found themselves in the epicenter of the violent war unleashed by russia. In April 2023 Ukrposhta announced an all-Ukrainian children's sketch competition "Children of Victory Draw Ukraine of the Future". More than three hundred creative works were received. According to the results of the voting, in which took part 468,809 respondents, the winner became the work "The Most Cherished Dream" by Oleksandra Fedorchuk (14 years old, Kyiv oblast). At the numerous requests of the voting participants, Ukrposhta reproduced on the postage issue also the shortlisted sketches created by of Veronika Ivantsova (9 years, Khmelnytskyi), Oleksandra Bushynska (13 years, Odesa oblast), Anastasiia Mysko (12 years, Odesa oblast), Varvara Kolesova (9 years, Mykolaiv oblast), Korneliia Andriichuk (6 years, Lviv), Heorhii Sosnytskyi (6 years, Kharkiv), Diana Vasylenko (4 years, Poltava). The war has become a terrible reality for Ukrainian children, drowning out their childhood world. But the love to the native land does not fade away in the war- burnt souls: children are proud of Ukraine and believe in its happy future.
