Description:

Serhiy Parajanov (09.01.1924-20.07.1990) was a Ukrainian and Armenian film director, People's Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (since 1990), winner of the Taras Shevchenko State Prize of Ukraine (1991, posthumously).

He is the creator of the hallmark of Ukrainian “poetic cinema” - the film Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors (1964), which received 39 international awards and 24 grand prix at film festivals (in Mar del Plata, Rome, Thessaloniki, etc.).

He was imprisoned in Russia for Ukrainian nationalism.

Limited edition of the thematic postal set according to the “Personalized Stamp” project. The set contains a numbered stamp sheet of 9 stamps and a numbered envelope with special cancellation.
